KnightLight was the result of our first game jam. It placed 4th in BaconGameJam5.

Description

KnightLight is a dungeon crawling game, where the player plays KnightLight, a courageous night light. His objective is to make it back home, so you can sleep well at night, easing your nightmares, and to brave the dangers of the unknown.

Beware losing too much energy without visiting a power source, as the lower KnightLight's energy, the less vision he has, and the night closes in around him.

If KnightLight runs out of energy before reaching the portals at the end of each level...Light's Out!

We've hosted the same package in two places: Dropbox and Filedropper.

P.S. - Everything was made from scratch(100%) after the theme was announced and turned in before the deadline.

Pygame, Cubase, Sibelius, Illustrator, Photoshop, Notepad ++, USB Flash Drive

Help / Controls

Controls: WASD, Arrow Keys, or Numpad

Additional help:

Hardcore gameplay: if you failed, you would have to restart the game from the beginning.

Basic Goal: Find the portal in each level to proceed before energy depletes completely.

Battle: Fight the colored shadows with matching color weapons. - Some shadow enemies requires multiple hits. (How many hits? That's for you to find out)

P.S... Sometimes there are secrets the eyes cannot see...
